    Go here
    http://www.acekard.com/download.php

2 files at the top in red, you need to pick the right one for your cart (2 types are out there) this is the fix for the DSi update.

The select the loader the blue AKAIO is best, put it all on the cart and load away

You need to buy a new dsi card that supports v1.4,(r4i v1.4). As of the moment, acekard2i doesn't support updated dsi. Just wait until they cracked the v1.4.

I think your son have updated the DSi to v1.4 (check your DSi) and your Acekard 2i is not compatible with it.

What you need to do is to update the bootloader of the Acekards, unfortunately you will need a working DS (DS phat, Lite or DSi v1.3) to update the bootloader, see here http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=174529

You will need the system files and the above bootloader updater files on the root of your micro sd card, once booted up, just select the bootloader to run it, takes few minutes.
