Alright, so where I live I have time warner basic online and everything is blazing fast. So, this weekend I go to my moms. She recently got Verizon dsl. She has 3.0 mg down and 786 kbps up. But, for some reason at most I only get 20 kbps. But the odd thing is on the connection summary it says this.. DSL Connect Rate (Down/Up) 3360 KBits/Sec by 864 KBits/Sec So, I'm getting the right speed from the modem. So, I try a different PPP account id and password. Guess what it still works. I even used the Id as 111111 and password as 111111. I still got internet but its only 20kbps. How am I connecting with a fake verizon account?!?! Also two other computers are connected because we are using a network hub not a router. So there's no firewall here guys. Can anyone help? It would be much appreciated.
