Hi Just wondering if we can some how make it so that all the games that we put in go in some order so i can have my best games at the top then put them in order..... i dunno how to do it. Please help
Hey again guys. been trying to do it for weeks now...and right after i posted her i sorted it out. Now i can put the games in order now.. Thanks anyway People
Can you tell how plz? Right now I am coping roms in order I want them to be shown in menu, yet is is kind of lame... 8)
the only way that i have been able to get round it so far is create a folder called Games and put all the ones you aint bothered about in there. then create 10 folders named 1 2 3 4 . . 10 and place one game in the folder and they then the first 10 are in order..
oh that sound like a crapie way to organize game...can't you make folders such as puzzle, racing, rpg, ect? Personally i don't know so i am asking, i would not enjoy the card as much if the folders needed to be numbered not named.
I dunno how else to do it....try different way... All i wanted was the top 10 games that i play first....all the rest i was not bothered. Also you can leave Folder 1 empty so that you can put new games in there to try them out.
you can use a bit of software called drive sort. it works great with my dstt it sorts your games alpabetically. Grab it from here: www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort.php
Hmm, basically the first game I copy to a flash card will be a first game in the menu, second one will be second the list etc... No problems here.
There are two solutions for this : 1.) Get a program called drivesort (it's free), it'll allow you to automatically re-order the games on the card inside your DSTT. However, be careful, it can cause corruption on the flashcard (however, don't worry, it's very easily fixed if you just reformat the card) 2.) Reformat your card, and reupload the games in the order that you want them to appear on your DSTT's menu. The DSTT will list all games in the order they were copied onto the card. It has no rigid filestructure for ROMs, so even if you do the "folder method" described above, it won't work. If you want your games in a specific order, you need to reformat your card, and add the games in the order you want them on your DSTT. This is very easy on XP/Vista. You can just click the "name" tab on the folder and have it sort everything alphabetically, then select all to copy... when you copy, the games will be copied over in alphabetical order. Also, you can open your ROMs folder on your PC, and then hold down the CTRL button when you click to select a game. If you CTRL+Click on any other items, it'll select/de-select the file you clicked on. So, say you have all your games in your folder alphabetized, you can just click on the games in the order to your liking (say, most favorite to least favorite) and when you copy over the files, the files will be copied over in the order you selected them. Pretty easy, huh? I highly suggest keeping a clean backup of all your DS ROMs on your computer in case something goes wrong, that way you won't have to re-download everything. Also, if you ever re-format your card, you don't necessarily have to do a full format, quick formatting has always worked for me, and it formats my 2GB Kingston microSD card in about 3 seconds, compared to about 5 minutes the full way.
I have found this way to be the best Format the memory card Create 10 folders named 1 to 10 then create a folder called Games Copy the 10 games you most use into each folder then copy the rest into the games folder then whenever you want to put new games in your top 10, take out the games in the folder and copy them to games and put the new ones in to the folder.. Never change the folder names cause the order or creation is the order in the Menu.... This saves me having to format the memory card every time i want the new games at the top.....
Dunno what all the fuss is about - Just rename the game (and save file as well) using a number eg. 01-Call Of Duty 02-Assasins Creed 03-Mario & Sonic at the Olympics etc. You can put 'em in folders if you want and you can organise them in genres or whatever. You can put the game in a genre folder or even add the genre as part of the game - eg. games... FPS-Call Of Duty FPS-Metroid Prime Hunters RACING-Diddy Kong Racing SPORTS-Mario & Sonic at the Olympics or folders FPS PLATFORM SPORTS You can number the folders and still incude a genre (01-FPS) It's not rocket science guys - just basic file management.
sometimes is bloody is rocket science... If i put the games on one a time. the first one never goes to the top. on my card it seems to be when the .NDS file was created.... so folders work a treat for me, cause the games that i am currently playing go straight to the top..
