    Hi,

Now i've had a quick look back through the pages but cant find the answer to my question, so please dont shoot me down in flames!

My youngest son has a NDS with an R4 card, which i know dont get updated anymore, but i also have a spare DSTT card. He is now wanting a DSi for his birthday, so my question is will the DSTT or R4 work with the DSi or do i need to buy a new type of card?

If i do need to buy a new card, which would you recommend?

    Many thanks

No I am afraid that to work with the DSi you will need a specific "i" card

There are 2 that appear to have good results everywhere the AceKard 2i and the EZ Flash Vi

The DSTTi comes with a warning that the Kernal (main firmware) cannot be updated so it may be made obsolete by future DSi updates (so not a good long term bet - it does however work at the moment)

Anything with R4 in the name - avoid, most are poor - already 3 R4i versions to go with the 13 R4 versions, just read all the problems on this forum.

if you have a dstt card and bought a dsi you can put the micro sd card from the dstt rom straight into a dstti rom and carry on with it no other files needed 1.17 firmware is the latest
