    thanks for the replay to my earlier thread.
    As per advised I changed my boot.ini as follows :-

    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\winnt
    [Operating system]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\winnt="windows server 2000"/fastdetect
    (it is my primary os and it working when i select it.)
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\winnt="windows XP"/fastdetect
    (this is the second os in second disk. when is select this there is an error showing that windows 2000 cann't start because the file
    windows2000 root>system32>ntoskrnl.exe is corrupt and reinstall a copy of this file) I put a new copy of this file also, the same error occured" pl. help me

    thank and Happy New Year
