Hi, I want to dual boot win 7 and os x on my notebook with a single hdd. My notebook currently has win 7 installed on it and has a data partition and a system partition. I haven't got os x yet. The question is that when i shrink my data partition to 30gb for os x and try and format the new partition with ntfs it says i need to convert the disk to dynamic disk. It also states that with dynamic disk no os can boot from it? I just wanted to know if it's safe to convert to dynamic disc and will it convert the whole drive or just that partition? Thanks, sorry if I overtyped.

I read a number of guides of dual booting the two on a standard notebook though? I think as long as it has a intel cpu it's all right. Any way do you have the answer to my question about dynamic disks?
