ok i have a dual layer dvd whcih is a foreign film and i want to compress it to a single layer dvd. i started using dvd decrypter but i dont know how to get just the movie with subtitles. the vob files i ripped didnt have subtitles. what do i do??
Run the video_ts folder created by Decrypter through Shrink. Shrink will show you your audio and subtitle options and compress the file to fit on a single layer disc. Here are some guides to help: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/ http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/tutorial007.html
@vegas825 Use decrypter t orip to hard drive like u did and then use shrink to compress it soo it becomes small enough to fit on a single layer. And then use a dvd burning program to rip it to the single layer DVD. Its as simple as that.... keep me posted......
ok i used dvd shrink to rip the dvd with subtitles but now what do i use to burn the folder to a dvd. i read in the forum that you can use dvd decrypter to burn but i can only figure out how to do it with iso files. i have a video ts and audio ts files. thanks in advance
look how i do it is by using Clone DVD 2 sownload that by any means and use that to burn to DVD but b4 that use shrink to compress it soo it fits on a single layer
vegas825 You can still burn the video_ts with copy software if you have it - Nero, Roxio (yuck), Pinnacle, Ulead to name a few. If you had Nero it should have detected Nero and given you the option to burn with it. For the other software you will need to choose their make DVD movie option or whatever they call it and open the video_ts folder. If you do not have any such programs - to burn with decrypter you will need to open the video_ts folder in shrink and in the target setting options pick iso image file burn with decrypter (something like that)
