OK, dumb question maybe. Will the backups be better if I was to get the 9 gb dvds to do 1:1 backups? Apposed to the process of using dvd decrypter and shrink and then burning the disks to a 4.7+r disks? Or is there no difference? Has anyone done a comparison between the two with a same dvd an same everything I guess IM getting at? Ok so im not making much sense.... bottom line, will the backups be better if using dual layer opposed to shrinking the dvds to 4.7? thanks...

it mainly comes down to how much the compression is on the movie.. because i've found that some movies... are well under the 4.7gb mark, but yet the dvd itself is like 7.5gbs. its all the extras added.. if you want to keep the extras.. then you can compress it down without a huge difference, but then if you think about it.. you're still going to push down that movie to like 2gbs. thats pretty decent.

and even if you're doing them on DL (verbatims all i trust for that) you still need to use dvd decrypter for it. you still have to decrypt it.. so there's no way around that...

    just my two cents
