dual layer burning

    Hi folks i have used dvd decrypter to copy lord of the rings pt 3 successfully and a few others.Now suddenly it won't do any dual layer..i keep getting an error in the log saying:cannot write medium-incompatible format.I'm stumped as to why this is happening suddenly..any help would be much appreciated thanks

    i was going to say use dvd decrypter but you do! not sure could be media is it from the same batch pack or new brand and id codes? infact what is the brand and id codes?

    use dvd identifier to get this info...

    it looks ok media but not sure will have a think aswell as other may jump in here to to help out...

    Can you post the Decrypter Log?

    About the only thing I can think of is that Decrypter has a problem of some sort. You may want to uninstall and re-install.

    The "Create MDS File" box should be checked, it is checked by default but you can take a look at it here:

    Tools -> Settings -> ISO Read Mode Tab

    hi fasfrank..the mds is ticked.here is the decrypter error message:

    the decrypter log says..cannat write to medium-incompatible format failed to write sectors 320-351 write error

    i would first say bad media but i have seen this error then some one use nero app and it urnt it ok! so thats prob my advice to you try another app at this piont...

    i have also heard that ejecting the tray in DvdD has made a disc carry on burning!
