I have 2 DVD players hooked up to 2 different tv's. One is a Sony and the other is a JVC. I use DVD Fab Decrypter to copy the movie to the HDD, then use DVD Shrink to copy to a Dual Layer DVD if the movie is long like Sin City. Sin City would not fit on a single layer dvd...at least for me. Anyway, after the movie is done copying to the DL DVD, I check it in one of the players. None of the DL DVD's play in the Sony player. They will play in the JVC, but only if I go through a process to make them play (i.e. when the warning comes on I push menu, then select play movie. Some times after all that, I have to ff, it ff's through the chaps, not the mins. then push rev. ff and it will play). All discs play great on the computer. Single Layer discs play perfectly in all players. Is there anything I can do to get them to play in the Sony player or even the JVC without having to go through a process? thanks

Seems to me your DVD players dont like the media you are using, why bother using shrink if you are using DL discs , they will hold all the data without compression. I backed up this film onto a single disc and its perfect, good film as well. Best find out what your players like and buy accordingly.

The players act the same no matter the brand I use.
