I don't think I burned it wrong. I used dvd flick to do it's thing to create a DVD and my laptop is capable of burning them but when I put it into a dvd player it just kept reading it and reading it and then gave me a playback error message.....did I do something wrong?

What name brand discs are you using?
What burning software did you use?
What speed did you burn at?
What's the name of your burner?
Is the firmware up to date?
    What os are you using?
How much free ram do you have?
I could go on and on. Please provide as much information as possible.
What you have told us is not enough to go on.

My computer is new so I'm sure all the stuff on here is new and up to date.... I used convertxtodvd, the disks are Sony DVD+R DL (double layer) ..... it says 2.4x on the packaging but I can burn up to 8x. I use Windows Vista Home Premium.

I have 3.07 GB of RAM.....am I missing anything else?

Use only Verbatim (made in Singapore) and burn at 2.4X.

    Where do I buy those?

I've already spent like 60 bucks on a bunch of dvd's.... I dunno what I did wrong but I tried using convertxtodvd a 2nd time and it's converted and burned to dvd perfectly...I think it was that particular dvd i'm not sure.
