dual layer dvd

    If anybody knows how to obtain dual layer dvds and what equipment to buy for it please email me at jlyon9829@yahoo.com
    i guess my main question is were if possible i can buy dual layer dvds and how much it would cost to buy the equipment to burn the dvds.

    You cant buy 'Dual Layer' DVD's. You CAN buy double-sided DVD's which you would have to turn over half way through using.

    Likewise, there is no hardware that would burn to a Dual Layer DVD.

    Dual Layer DVD's (Like those used for Movies) are not burnt in the normal way. The discs are produced singly and then manuafactured together after.

    If you are looking to backup movies without losing the quality, the only way would be double-sided DV's and a program like DVDXCopy or similar.

    Better way, would be to use Single Sided 4.7GB discs, and read other threads here regarding the likes of DVD2One, DVDShrink and DVD95.
