    Hi all.
    I have a NEC ND-3500AG drive.
    I am attempting to burn a dual layer disc (AONE 8X)
    I tried using Image Burn 2.4.2.0 but once the job is complete my drive tells me the name of the disc in the drive but it jusy clicks every couple of seconds and thats it.
    Any clues??
    Cheers.

    @Spooked
    That sounds like bad media problem. I have owned that and many other NEC DVDRWs; They are good, reliable and long lasting. Actually one of my old 3500's isstill kicking in my brother-in-laws pc (After 3-4 years with me).
    I would try different media - Verbatim (1st Choice), Sony (2nd Choice), and if feeling lucky Ritech/Memorex (I don't recomend it).

    Burn On,
    Russell

    PS. Is you firmware up to date on the NEC 3500 (Liggy and Dees and Dangerous Brothers websites for firmware)?

    Hi pernal, thanks for the reply.
    I believe the firmware is 1.8.
    I have been to Liggy and Dees site, there are too many to choose, is it best to just go for the one at the top, 2.98 with bitsetting or without bitsetting or something like that, or what?
    I'll also try some Verbatim discs and see if that is the prob.
    I agree, I have had this drive for ages but never had the need to burn a dual layer before now.
    Cheers
