dual layer problems

    after coming to this site daily for help from other forums i now need help and registered. I have been trying to burn Live fee or die hard. i put it on a regular dvd but as you can guess the movies to large so it shank to much. i put it on a dual layer and used clone dvd and any dvd and looking at the bottom on the dvd it looks burned. it wont play in the dvd player and when put in the computer i see a bunch of VTS files but arnt loaded rite?? Having the same problem with the departed using Ashampoo 7 Any suggestions on why i'm havig this problem?

    I had no problem with this disc i was able to rip it with dvd decrypter

    the problem you have can be fixed if you try using a different software like dvdfab which is free and burn with imgburn which is also free

    i tried it with DVD fab platinum 4 same thing.. whats imgburn do i have to use that along with dvd fab?

    ImgBurn is just a burning software and it is only one producing good dual layer burns. It does not have to be used with any other software, it will burn single layer also.

    i tried backing up the departed last night with imgBurn and same thing. the set up was confusing but once i got it i had an error and it couldnt copy the movie?? i must be doing something wrong and its costing me $$ DL dvds are too much

    ImgBurn is not for backup, only for burning.
    If you have AnyDVD use that to rip DVD to you hard drive and than ImgBurn to burn.
    Using AnyDVD you will end up with VOB files in a folder.
    If you have latest version of ImgBurn than click on Write files/ folders to disc. Find your folder where you saved your rip and start, set double layer brake and burn.
    What brand name(make) of DL DVD do you use?

    are you trying to copy a disc or is this a downloaded movie?

    wow i guess i am a newbie.. i'm just trying to copy a disc. i am using nextech dual layer dvds

    is there a program that will just copy it without having to do it with two different programs like clone dvd or something?
