I really apologize for what I'm sure is going to be a very dumb question, but I just bought a Sony 810a recorder. It is a dual layer recorder. Does that mean if I buy DL discs that I won't have to shrink 8.5 gb movies?? I'm very new to this (Dvd's anyway)and I have searched for this answer but can't seem to find it. Everything I see is how to make a large format(8.5GB) movie get shrunk down to fit on a regular disc, which definitely doesn't sound real appealing.

I'm assuming and hoping that this is the case.

You are correct in your assumption, no shrinking required....One drawback though, they're still expensive...

Ok, thanks. Such a simple question that I couldn't find the answer. I promise to get smarter :)
