Dumb Question...Can you use the original Xbox as a regular DVD player?

    I know this might be a dumb question but I was wondering if you can use the original Xbox as a DVD player when connected directly to the TV?I know you can buy an adaptor that plugs into the front of the Xbox with a remote but if I don't have that gadget can I still manually use the Xbox to play DVD movies?

    If you mod it and put an application on it called dvd2x (dongle free dvd player) you will be able to control the dvd with the controller. If it's not modded the only choice is to buy the dvd playback kit.

    you can get one on ebay for 5 bucks probably... If it's modded it usually comes with Dongle Free
