Dumb Question Maybe

    why are u allowed to give out an instant messenger name but not a personal email? just curious

    Your not allowed to give out your e-mail address in public because of spammers. I think the same goes for instant messenger names. If you want to give another user your e-mail address or instant messenger name then send them a PM (personal message).

    You don't want SPAM. If you want to give someone your email or messanger screenname, send it to them in an private message (the little face with an arrow.)
