Hello, I've got a PStwo with Duo 3 Gold. I can play PS2 burned and imported (NTSC US) games (the console is PAL) but with PSX (PSone) it would only take original PAL and not my imports. It comes up "Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 disc", or sometimes it just goes black after the blue clouds you get from starting up a PS2.

This is what the discription of Duo 3 Gold says about PSX games:

    - Press EJECT button to switch on the machine.
    - Insert PSX game in tray, then press and hold RESET button to switch off machine.
    - Now hold the RESET button to start up your machine. Only release the RESET button once the Blue LED light of the Eject button lights up.

As I said I've got a PStwo so I don't have a blue LED light at the Eject-button. What should I do help?

Oh, bought it from a friend and he said he's played burned PSX-games and that some maybe was NTSC and it worked, but he's not sure.

    ultimate fix for this problem:

start the ps2 with no disc. at screen where it says: browser, system configuration...press triangle twice. change disc speed to fast and texture mapping to smooth.

NOW, go back to browser and insert your disc. DO NOT switch system off because the settings reset everytime power goes off.

enjoy the game and remember to do this when playing ps1 games

That didn't work, thx for the effort but can't it be the wires for the PSX-hax has losened? Because normal PAL-games work but not backups and import for just PSX, all PS2 works fine.

i don't think thats the reason but check all your solder joints anyway just to be sure.

but first, ask your mate for a few of his psx games that he said work on the ps2. it could just be poor burning

I've tried 3 real NTSC-games already, import not backup.
