I got a DUO3 GT chip. But it came with the main board and a light board and came with a white looking chip which I have no idea what it is for. Anyone know?

The White chip is for the v12 PS2 (slim). Its called a SIODE fix, to prevent the PS2 from burning out spontaneously.

You can discard it or sell it if you dont have a v12 PS2.

There was no Duo3 GT. There was a Duo2 GT. The Duo2 GT had many issues and had a very short life. The Duo3 was the GT's replacement and was a much better solution then the GT although it still has its issues.

Hopefully the Duo3 Gold will prove to be a good contender.

they say to solder a 1K ohm resistor across the power and ground pad of the chip to increase load times.
