Having trouble installing the DUO3 in my 77001 (GH-051-12) ps2. The website for DUO3 only shows the DUO3 GOld diagrams with the right motherboard number as mine. BUT for the last wire i have a Y and the diagram shows an X. i wonder if it solders in the same place? the diagrams i have found for the DUo3 dont show the same motherboard number as mine and its a differnt layout. any ideas?

    Damn that sucks!

If you have a digital volt meter with a continuity tester I would recommend going over your install verifying all your points are correct. Can you post a picture of your install?

i got it, but is very picky on the games. DVD-r games that would boot up with no problems with my Ver7(39001 w/ magic2) are taking forever to load or going to the red screen to insert a psx/ps2 game. after playing a game for a while, the DUO3 led light would go out by itself. the chip seems unstable. how do i put the chip in siabled mode cause holding the RESET for 5 secs puts the PS2in standby mode.

The Duo3 is knows to be temperamental and have a poor boot rate on the new V15's. I was going to suggest the resistor fox but I see you have already found your answers at ps2-scene.org

    :)
