ok i know my chip is soldered in right ok so what happened is i turned it on useing the chip the screen goes blank it starts again goes blank then a third time then goes into the red/green blinking light i fixed it once i think by just pressing on a lot i dont know do you? i have a version 1.6 xbox i heard it just does this on this version i dont know
If you used a pinheader install on your chip and it works fine (original) if you pull the chip off the pinheader. Most of the time a frag like you said is caused by the soldering on the back of the pinheader or rebuild board. Try reflowing the solder.
