I used Windows Movie Maker to edit my vidoes from my digital video camcorder and I chose to make the movie into a an AVI file. When I go to convert the file from AVI to MPEG with Avi2DVD it says that my file is a DV AVI file. I then choose the option to convert the DV AVI to regular AVI and the video is all messed up. How do I get the DV AVI file so that I can burn it to a DVD? Im sure I need to get the file to MPEG but what program do I use? Thanks for the help.

DV AVI is a regular AVI file, Or just as Regular as any other AVI format...I don"t know why they would want you to convert it to a different AVI format as this is just a waste of Time and will lower the Quality of the Video.....

Any Good Mpeg encoder can encode Dv AVI files to DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 files...I suggest something like "Tmpgenc Pluss" or "MainConcept Encoder" or which is one of the best for DV AVI files is "Canopus Procoder" all of which can create a DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 file from any DV AVI file....

After you have created the Mpeg-2 file you will need to use a DVD authoring program which will allow you to add Menu"s,Chapters and Scene selections to your Movie and Format it all into a "Video_TS" Folder which it then burns to DVD for you OR you can use a seperate Program like Nero to Burn the "Video_TS" Folder to DVD for you....

An easy to use But Pretty Basic DVD authoring Program is "Tmpgenc DVD author" but if you want more Advanced Looking Menu"s and More Features on your DVD ect then I suggest trying "mediaChance DVDLab Pro" which is what I use but it is a Little Harder to learn that some more Basic programs But you can Do so much more with it that you can with other Programs.....

    Cheers
