DV cable question

    Hi

    Just been given a canon mv901 digital camcorder and need some advice on what cable to get to transfer video to our pc.

    Our PC has a firewire socket, and I know i need a firewire 4-6 pin cable, but I'm wondering does it need to be a canon MV901 specific cable as they are expensive ?? thought i might be able to get away with using a generic 4-6 pin dv cable.

    Any URl's to the correct cable would be great, thanks a lot

    Don't be fooled by people telling you need a "gold plated" Fire wire cable. You can buy them for like $5 and they will be just fine...
    Just Google for "Firewire cable" and you'll find plenty.
