I copied my 60 minute DV tape to my hard drive in avi format. I want to burn it onto a DVD to be viewable in a DVD player. It is 13 gB in size. How do I burn it when a DVD is only 4.7 gB? Do I have to change the format? Do I burn it onto 3 discs?
This is my first attempt at video...thank you in advance for any guidance.

You're need to make the AVI files into MPEG files. I use TMPGenc. It's slow but does the job. You then need to author a disc. I don't think you can simply shrink an AVI file and burn it to disc. Click on the software tab and download the TMPGenc and give it a whirl.
