dv3 digivox problem

i have a dv3 digi vox and when i turn it on it brings the menu up automatically and does not allow me to go threw any of my channels it is just stuck on menu i do an automatic/manual search and it dont find anything is there anybody who cud help me please

 

digivox easy box to work with.
menu,installation,what provider are u with,virgin,ntl,etc,select correct one,and autoscan when it finishes it has found*** channels,exit back to menu,select system info ok,press 1004 on remote [ secret code ] and key emu to on,exit out of menu.
one main point coaxial cable into cable input,and scan from main coaxial feed

I have done wot you have told me to do i chose virgin then done an automatic scan and it dosen't find any channels i av keyed in 1004 in the system information turned on the emu my cable is in the correct port (cabe input) wot do you mean scan from main coaxial feed

 

from coaxial box on wall straight to box,select another provider as u have to find channels,i pressume u are paying a sub to a cable comp.to receive basic channels.

 

yes i am paying basic package i will try another 1 from the list but virgin is my provider

 

i av tried the other providers but its still finding no channels i av noticed in the menu that parental control/channel edit are faded and will not let me select them cud this be the problem and if so is there anythingi can do

 

do u have coaxial plugged into cable input?
what vers.is on box,menu system info ok ???

do you mean the little push in thing that you turn your cable lead into is that called coaxial cos i have that pushed into the cable inputand do you mean wot version is my box if so how do you find that out sysyem ifo is ok and i have areial on the roof its just parental control and channel editthat are fadedand wont let me select

 

thats why box will not work on aerial on roof,it will only run on true digital cable dvb/c.
you will probably need a dvb/t box to work off ur aerial,as i am not sure what exactly u need.scouser is main man for info

i havnt got my roof aerial plugged into it i have the proper virgin aerial it has been working before i had all the channels on before but wen i first bought it i cancelled virgin and then my digivox went off so i have got the smallest package on virgin again but still carnt get no channels

 

ok virgin cable into cable input,does ur tv work when coaxial cable plugged into it? yes ok u have signal,
power off box then on,then try autoscanning providers again

 

i think there is something wrong with the box i definatly have signal but like i say parental control and channel edit are faded i av turned it off and on searched threw the providers and still nothing i wonder if there is a reset code that wud turn parental control and channel edit back on cos i think that is the problem

 

digivox menu is faded.
can u do a factory reset oooo to delete,and autoscan again
one possible thing if u have gone back to analogue u will not find channels u need digital signal

 

hi i have virgin and i scaned and it found the channels but only the basic ones are working e.g. bbc and itv and i set the emu thing to on and everytime it says ypdating nothing happens so if you can can u help please!

 

if u have vers 2.6 or 2.8 u are ok,
0% update can stick at times try pressing say 66 to see if update moves,wait 10 - 15 secs and when it updates picture will come on.

 

yeah it says updating and it gets to like 150% and then goes back to 0% again and nothing gets updated

 

menu-system info-ok vers ???,u need vers 2.6 or higher for it to work use v.2.800 that works,u have probably an older non working file.

 

I have the same problem as rubine79. Was a solution ever found?

 

there is always a solution,what box silver or black and what vers is on box,need to know if its flashed.
