I heard bout this "dvcd" thing... but i dunt get how to play the cd.. its very confusing.. im wondering if someone can tell me how to use it and if i need a program to play it.
I had never heard of dvcd either, but a quick look at the afterdawn glossary informed me that it stands for double video cd, popular in China. Evidently it's just regular vcd format overburned to fit 90-99 minutes on a single 800mb cdr? Of course, it could also be a typo in your post, as there are vcd, cvd, xcd, svcd, kvcd, xvcd, xsvcd, blah, blah, blah. Are you saying you already have one, or you want to make one, or what? More details please.
If I'm not mistaken, Windows Media Player 9 has built-in VCD support, so assuming the disc is authored correctly, I think it would play. As far as I can tell it would be treated like a normal VCD since that's what it is, an overburned VCD. I could be wrong though, I'd never even heard of it until this thread, lol. If you have an earlier version of WMP, you could try updating. If none of that works, try playing the MPEG movie itself, located in the MPEGAV folder on the disc I believe. If you can't play the movie itself, install GSpot or AviCodec to analyze the file, and see what codec you need and where to get it.
