DVD 2 IPOD big problem

    I succesfully converted a DVD to mp4 and it plays nicely on itunes, but when I try to play it on my ipod it only shows a black screen and after 20 secs goes back to the menu. Any explanation and does any one know how to fix it?

    I used AnyDVD and Nero recode to obtain the mp4 file, following instructions from a previous thread from this website. It works great on quicktimes or itunes, but not on the ipod!!! :(

    Try a different conversion program- there are many many topics on iPod video conversion here at AfterDawn

    Also, the format for the PSP and the iPod are the same, so if it converts to PSP then it will do iPod as well.

    I use http://www.dvd4ipod.com -- it gets the job done very well. Never had any problems, can't say enough good things about it. Very simple and intuitive and comes with easy to follow instructions.
