DVD 4:3 Menu Resolution Size?

    I'm making a menu background on Photoshop CS3 and it gives several size options for 4:3 menus:

    NTSC DV: 720 x 480
    NTSC D1: 720 x 486
    NTSC D1 Square Pixel: 720 x 540

    Basically my question is which one will give me the the best results?

    Sorry, but I forgot to mention this in my previous post...
    I'm using TMPGenc DVD Author 3 (I made 720 x 480 backgrounds to test earleir) now when I import them the stretch and become blurry, but if I keep the aspect ratio they don't take up the whole screen.

    I hope this will clarify my question a bit more.
