I am in the process of creating a DVD and due to the amount of footage I need to write a 9gb DVD, however the company which is going to replicate them for me has said that many older DVD players are not compatible with this format. The DVD is of an international event and will be sent out to people world wide, I am concerned that I will be limiting the number of people who can see it. Please can someone enlighten me on the matter, or has anyone experienced issues with this type of issue before? Thanks
The disc you are planning to write to is a 8.5 GB Dual Layer disc. Older DVD players can play DL discs, but most older DVD players cant play homemade DVDs at all.
