Hi, I've just installed my Chameleon solderless modchip. I also just bought a new LG GSA-4040B DVD burner. I've followed the instructions on a website. I ftped into my box, copied the files over, made an ISO with gdfimage, burnt the game using NERO. When I put the game into the drive, it won't load. When I ftp into the box and then go to the dvd drive, it looks like there is nothing there. ANyone have any ideas for me? I read something somewhere about needing to patch the default.xbe file? Your help appreciated!
try using craxtion to make an iso www.craxtion.com make sure to copy the right files to your windows/system file there is a note in one of the folders when you download it
Well .. I tried craxtion. It patched up the xbe files for me (which I hadn't been doing). But the same problem occured. I put the disk in, the box doesn't know it's there and the game won't run.
ok then what are you using to burn your iso's? try nero 6 is good and so is record now max you can get a 30day trial at www.stompinc.com are you choosing to burn image? and what media are you using?
In the intial message, I indicated that I am using Nero 6. I am using Memorex 4x DVD + R 4.7 gb. I am using an LG GSA-4040B dvd burner.
Do you need to use one of the modchip's apps to copy the game over to a hard drive first and then copy it using an ftp program? Or can you just copy it right off the D drive?
try using the dvd decrypter to burn with,i use it to burn all my games. try using different dvds like +r or -r or diff. brand
