I recently bought a Lite-on LVW 5006 dvd recorder and having never used one before I'm a bit clueless, anyway I'm running my sky through my dvd recorder and then using it to tape stuff but what I've noticed is that if I tape something with 16:9 picture format it stays like like that when I play it back on a 4.3 tv it wont letter box. Is there anyway to change this or do I have to just make the choice between recording in letterbox or widescreen?
Good chouce of a DVD recorder .. I have two and I enjoy them a lot You need to select the aspect ratio that you want your playback to be shown in SETUP>PLAYBACK>ASPECT RATIO>{make your choice}
Yea I've tried that but things I have recorded don't change if their in widescreen then they wont letterbox and and if thier taped in letterbox the they wont play in full screen on a widescreen tv.
