Does anyone have instructions on how to take the audio from a dvd and burn it to a cd to listen to in the car? I hava a couple of live performances I would like to do that with. Thank you....

    Alternately you could:

    1. Rip the DVD to your HDD using DVDdecrypter.
    2. Decode the audio to 44.1Khz PCM audio using DVD2AVI.
    3. Burn to a CD with your fav burner program.

The soundcard option would be easier if you're not familiar with these programs tho.

I am familiar with the programs. Does this allow me to use the chapters as song tracks?

Nope. But you can certainly enter the chapter info manually into your burning app. I've done it with Nero.

What about if one wishes to rip DVD-Audio in surround sound, so that the MP3s, when burnt to a normal cda file will still be 5.1 surround...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

MP3 is not capable of holding 5.1 surround sound. But u can do it from AC3 to CD for about 70 min worth with only one problem. CD is nolonger CD but will act like a DVD. u have to Checkout this site.
