The NEC 3100 is an orphan drive, i.e. no firmware updates. Last address to be written: 2286111 (508:01.36, 4465MB) You're burning too close to the outer edge of the disk where problems will eventually occur. Set the target size in your applications to 4300 or 4350 to avoid this. I just saw the media denoted as DVD +R by Nero without any further description. What brand and speed of media are you using?
