    Hi Everyone

I have just got a DVD Player that supports VCD/SVCD so I thought I would backup some DVD's and keep them safe so they don't get scratched.

Now there are so many different methods of backing up to SVCD that I don't know what way to go.

I don't want nothing hard just a nice easy procedure.

This is the route that I have looked at:

    1. Copy VOB files to HD.
    2. Use DVD2AVI to convert to AVI using XVid MPEG-4 Codec.
    3. Use TMPGEnc to convert to MGEG file.
    4. Use Easy VCD to convert to a SVDC Cue/BIN file.
    5. Use Alcohol 120 to burn onto CD.

Does this sound right or am I using to many steps.

    Please help.

I have looked at DVD2SVCD but it looks very hard.

    Thanks

    Richard

You're supposed to use a ripping tool to rip off the dvd!
