Help needed, please! I burned my first "backup" using DVD Shrink and IMG Burn. The quality of the "backup" DVD is terrible. Is it the media i am using(Staples 4.7GB +R's) or the burner or something else?
    Thanks!

We need more info before we can help you. What are your pc spec, the dvd media and what is the burning speed you are using?
I strongly recommend quality dvd media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbratim, or Maxell that made in Japan with the burning speed not more than X4.
Staple 4.7GB +R I would say a crappy dvd media. By the way, what dvd burner are you using and do you have the latest dvd firmware for your dvd burner. Use this link http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php to check whether you have the latest firmware for your dvd writer.

I agree with what henrything says accept X4 speed This is not the gospal any more for example burning on verbatum 8X media(MCC003) quality scans look much better burned at 8X vs 4X. It sounds to me like maybe shrink was set up to compress to much. I can see a diffrence say 90% compression vs say45 to 50%.I always uncheck unwanted audio files first if english is what you want you can uncheck the french and spanish audio. If you do not care about menues and extra stuff on disk you can use the reauther tool and burn only the movie this will be much less compression and will encode much faster.

    Good Luck
