Okay, I have looked at plenty of guides on how to back up my DVD and get to the point were I have the video_ts and the audio_ts folder. Now from here I know how to burn DVD's but what if I wanted to stream them, I would need to convert those files into a playable format. How would I be able to do this, if there is a guide I didn't see I'll be happy to read it, just give me a link to it.

To get an MPG is pretty simple and can be done without even having to re-encode, which means it'll take only a few minutes to do. The only problem is that it'll be the same size as the original so, if you're looking to save space, then you'll need to look into re-encoding.

SUPER(C) is a pretty good converter, though I'm not sure if it'll accept the VIDEO_TS folder, so you might have to do the next step, first, anyway.

To convert to a single MPG file, get VOB2MPG and run it. Direct it to that VIDEO_TS folder, tell it where to save to, and click START. (Sometimes, it will say it's done after not having actually done anything - if this happens, just click START again - it has a progress bar you can use to see if it's running).

Both of these apps are freeware.

okay and that will give me MPEG format. So what if I wanted to save the space and convert it to an .avi? what programs would I use then.

Because I just read a guide last night on how to stream .avi 's to the xbox 360
