Hi, Appreciate similar posts have been logged before but they seem to point to DMA being the solution. I'm having a problem with a SATA so don't believe DMA is an option. My error occurs when I burn a DVD. Fails during the lead in with "reset occurred". Drive is relatively new but has worked ok for a month or two. Also, it is quite happy burning a CD, just fails on a DVD. Media is TDK (not the best I know but is branded). Any ideas would be much appreciated. Nero log is below. tdk disks.. enough said.. combined with completely rubbish reject drives. These HL-DT-ST things are complete junk.. hitachi-liteon quality control failures sold oem on the cheap.. I can buy 100 of them in bags for £34 .. says it all.
Thanks for the advice. Previous research I've done suggests that HL-DT-ST is a legit LG model number. That said, it isn't working which kinda prove your point.
