DVD burned using NTSC DVD recorder wont play on PAL DVD player or PC

    I've just recieved a couple of DVD's in the mail that i had someone record for me overseas. The DVD were both recorded straight from the tv, using a DVD recorder, but for some reason neither of them will play on my PC or on my PAL DVD player.

    I've bought many NTSC DVD's in the past and all of them have worked fine. Although, i don't know if any of them were direct tv to DVD recordings.

    What can i do to view the DVD's?

    Is there any programs i can get to help me with my problem?

    Assuming the disks were finalized at the source, does explorer see any files on them?
