I am totally confused when it comes to types of DVD Burners and which to buy. I tried doing my research but not making much progress. Anyway, I'd like to buy a new DVD Burner and I need some help, so bare with me. I plan to download videos and burn them to DVD; and also plug my camcorder into my computer, transfer video to computer, then to burn that video to DVD. I'd like these DVD's to be compatible with DVD players. I know that there is dual layer and single layer, I guess it wouldnt make sense to get the single layer, would it? I know there is DVD-R, +R, +RW, -RW, -/+RW, -/+R, and so on. I have no idea which of those I should be looking for. Do the DVD Burners determine the quality of the video, or is it the file, or is it a combination of both? Also is speed a really big factor? Thanks for the help guys. I'm just looking to buy something as soon as possible, but I want to make sure it is the right decision.
