    Hello,

What I've noticed is, when I have a DVD that's 4.7 gig or osmething like that and i rip it and then burn it, it takes dvd decrypter 10 Mins. But when it's a 8.5 or a dvd i made from avi's, it takes soooooo much longer.

The 4.7 dvd that i rip goes up to 4.0x but the 8.5 or avi's are like 1.0x

any ideas why this happens, and i've seen this same problem with dvd shrink.

    thanks

Dual layer DVD discs shouldn't be burned faster than 2.4x. A burn at 4X on 8x DVD+R media takes me about 14 minutes to complete. A dual layer burn on a 8.5GB disc at 2.4 x takes approx. 40 some minutes on my machine.

How much time is your machine taking when burning those 8.5GB discs?
