I was able to rip a back up DVD onto my HD, I am using the DVD Decrypter, but when I go to burn my back up DVD I don't get a .DVD extension to burn to, all i get is the ISO, i wasted a DVD already, what am i doing wrong? I followed all of the instructions that i was told to do, I did the correct mode(ISO), i got the adaptec ASPI layer, but all i keep getting are ISO extensions to write to. I am using an NEC 1100A DVD+RW, and I am using windows XP, i installed the Adaptec ASPIXP v4.60 (1021)
Please help, I am confused and lost. Thanks

Burn the ISO as an IMAGE in Nero would be my suggestion... you didn't mention what you do burn with ?

Have you done DVD back up's using ISO mode before..?

I choose the UDF/IFO mode personally
    .VOB
    .BUP
    .IFO

    Bruce,
This is assuming that all you want is a copy of ONLY the movie, NO extras. This is very smiple.

    1. Use DVD Decrypter- it automatically picks the main movie files.

    2. Use DVD2One and compress the files.

    3. Use Nero Express to burn the files to a DVD.

I first would use a "RW" to make sure that this process will work. I have burned about 15 DVD's with no failures, using the above process. I can throw the movie in ANY DVD player and it starts playing.

    Hope this helps.

dvdxcopy is a good tool but not for what you asked at top here. If the image is small enough to fit on 1 disk then you can also just use dvd decrypter to write it. Click on mode then iso then write and go from there.
