Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place but here is my question...if you need to redirect me to the right place, that is fine...
I know how to convert an avi with virtual dub, tmpgenc plus, IFO Edit to author the dvd and then burn with nero to DVD...
however, some of my files are already MPG...so what process do i do at this point? some of the movies are mpg 1 and 2... i cant join them in virtual dub so i am at a loss at this point... and if it is only 1 file, do i go straight to tmpgenc to create the mpeg with its 2 streams?
    any help is appreciated....
    thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Two options.

    1) Yes, what you said. You could use TMPGEnc to re-encode to MPG2 (DVD standard). You'll get the best compatibility.

    2) You could demux, re-sample the audio to 48KHz and author from there. However, the compatibility with stand-alones may not be that good. (It works on mine though.)
