dvd burning newbie

    can someone lead me in the right direction in order to copy movies from the internet and then burn them to dvd off my computer so i can then watch them on my stand alone dvd player. any help is greatly appreciated

    ok.... first you should know a little about downloading files from the internet! REad the FAQs on bittorents:

    I use BitComet for my torrent client, get it here, it's easy:
    http://www.bitcomet.com/client/index-en.htm

    now you're equipted to download files from torrent sites. Once downloaded you will have to convert the file to DVD compliant files for burning. Here is a guide for you if it's an AVI file:
