DVD burning on Apple?

    I am about to buy a laptop for college and am wondering if DVD decrypter and DVD shrink... the two programs i use to rip dvd's... are Mac friendly. DVD burning plays a big part in my computer use so i was wondering if any one knows if it even is possible to rip a dvd with an apple powerbook?

    sorry, dvd shrink and decrypter only work on real computers...
