    Could someone please help me with the problem I am having burning DVd disks.

    I have shrunk a dvd using DVDshrink 3.2.0.15 but when I try and burn to dvd using Nero the process stops at 67%. I have updated the firmware for the dvd writer and tried two different types of media but still to no avail.

    I have attached the error log below and would be grateful if someone could advise me with what other actions I could take.

    Thanks

    Welcome to aD!
    First thing - edit out that serial # - begins w/ 1A.
    Wow! You need to shut down some processes. Mak sure your not multi tasking
    Nero only show the media as +R - usually it will also give the manufacturer info. Take the 2 different kinds of discs you have and run them thru Nero Tool kit to get this info. Post back with the id.
    usually means your drive doesn't like the media - so we need the id.
    Reduce your target size in shrink to 4300 - try not to burn to the edge of the disc esp. if using questionable media.
    Reduce the burn speed to 4x

    Hi thanks for responding so quickly.

    Sorry new to this could you explain how to edit a message so that i can get rid of the serial.

    Yes i did have other applcations open so will try again with only nero open.

    Manufacturer ID on disc 1 is AML 002. not sure yet for disc 2 as it belonged to a friend.

    Will also try other suggested fixes - reduce size in shrink and burn speed at 4x.

    Thankyou.

    go to the top corner of your post, and click on edit. then take out the number at the top of your log, starting with A1

    @Eagle123
    Eck! Bad media - those AML002. Switch to the good stuff and your problems should go away. Use Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim DataLifePlus.
    In store for Taiyo buy Fuji or Sony - only the made in japan will id as TY though.
    Try the reduced target and lower burn speed. But even if that burns the AML 002's you may have playback problems or they will degrade at some point.
    Oh and don't forget to edit your serial out!

    Thanks for the advice - tried different media and reduced the target shrink size and it seems to be working fine now.

    Thanks again.

    @thePac
    Send yourself a pm to test the sig. Plus you need to host it at a site like imageweb.
