DVD burning software

Is there a freeware dvd burning software besides Nero? I can't stand it anymore. Somebody pliz help me. I really appreciate your help, thanks.

Personally I really like nero and have never had any problems with it. I hear copy2dvd is pretty well liked also.

 

Fleead: Maybe you just need a simple re-install of nero. It can be flaky at times. Use this tool to completely rid all remnants of nero off your pc:

I've just got the basic oem versions of 6.0.0.21b and 6.3.?.? on my spare and they burn sweet for both cd and dvds.I've also got copytodvd and haven't tried it yet.It should autoburn with dvd shrink,just like nero does for me.

You can use that cleantool and try a fresh nero install. Just make sure you leave out the INCD packet.That packet can cause trouble.

Nero can have conflicts with roxio,in case you had both those programs on your pc.

Hey mort81: Have you tried using that IMG burning program with dual layers? I've heard it is better for dl media backups than using dvd decrypter ISO write.
I'm going to pick up stealth and give her a shot with one of my verb dls using dvd decrypter ISO read and ISO write with IMGburn.

I haven't tried imgburn yet but then again I haven't burned any DL media yet either. I can't justify paying that much for blank media especially since my backups come out so good useing dvdremake to edit and rb/cce to encode. I rarely do movie only. I usually backup everything except the previews, adverts, trailer/s, and warning screens and I honestly can't see any loss in video quality even on my 52" hdtv. I know I'm not just going blind cause I could see a loss in video quality when I was useing dvd shrink. I'll try a DL one of these days but I'm in no hurry. Maybe when the prices come down on DL dvd+r hub printables.

 

The few backups I do entire disc, [bold]PORN[/bold], I have to use max smoothness or otherwise I can see the square pixels in the video if I stare at it long enough. It may be me going blind with those movies? Who can tell?
Usually around the 30-40% compression level,max smoothness looks good on my 32" sharp tv.

They were $2 a pop the other week at office Max! Verb +2.4x DL

@andmerr, I now have 3 of those, thats what you get for choosing wrong server.

 

That link must have gotten screwed up in my note pad,where I keep all my links. That isn't the nerocleantool6 link.This is the nero7 link and I have no clue how it got that way? It's always takes a second paste-edit-to get the cleantool link to work.It took me 2 times for that messed up nero7 link.
