I have used clone dvd and anydvd continuously and had no problems. Does this latest version of x copy xpress fit the backup onto one disk or is it like the old version of x copy in that it usually takes two disks to backup a dvd? I know about the compression and all of that but so far, I have seen no quality loss whatsoever using clone dvd, and all the dvds I have made fit on one disk.

Hi guys, you can't go wrong using Clonedvd and Anydvd. Those are my 1st choices too. I was just giving you information on X Copy express which I also use at times.
Yes the new versions compress the full disc to fit a blank dvd. It also gives you the choice to do movie only if thats how you want to do it. I also use DVDShrink but have found a few movies it won't decrypt. When that happens, I run Anydvd behind shrink and it usually works.
Just passing on the info, use what works best for you and your equipment. Happy New Years.
    Jerry
