Thanks to Crossman and Creaky I am now well on my way to burning DVDs and I am really enjoying it all. I use DVDShrink and then Nero burn. It works great for me. But I have one problem. In the 'decoding' process I am taking the full length of the movie to get that done. So really, it takes me about 2 and a half hours to complete a move. Somewhere in the decoding process the must be a setting that I have not changed. Anyone who can help me, it would be appreciated.
If it's speed you're after and not concerned with quality, uncheck all the quality settings in shrink. I wouldn't want to watch it though especially if you're doing the whole disc and not movie only. Is it slow during the encoding process or burning? Make sure your drive is in DMA mode. Time is irrelavent to me as I greatly prefer quality over speed. I use the best software under $2000 RB/CCE and my average encode times are around 2 hrs for a 7000-7500 mb folder. Mort
Thanks Mort81, i have been told by a couple of people (a young guy at the computer store) that i was taking way too much time to copy a DVD, but if you are correct, then maybe i should stay with my current method and not llok for a timesaver. I do enjoy quality burning as opposed to saving an hour or so. Thanks
