Dvd Capture

    Can anyone tell me what program i need to be able to capture a frame from a dvd so that i can save it as a jpeg or bmp and print it out. Thanks

    If you ripped the movie or just the vob that has the part you want to capture a picture of to your HD with dvddecrypter or smartripper, you can use cyberlink powerdvd to capture pictures. The button with the camera will let you take stills. This is what I use but there are probably other ways to do it. Unless you rip the movie first you can't capture any frames using this method.

    Thanks i have found out that win dvd has a built in capture button, thanks again for your help

    Is there a way to take snapshots of movies that aren't on dvd's (i.e. avi or mpeg)

    If I remember right Virtualdub will take snapshots of a frame to bmp (and maybe jpg).
