This is not seen by the computer. It says the device is working properly. I tried to copy a DVD one day after doing so for several weeks and it didn't work. I then tried to burn an audio cd and an MP3 cd and they wouldn't work in Windows Media and ITunes. Lastly, I tried to make backup dvds with my HP Recovery Creator and came across an error stating fdsoft something or other....

What do you mean, is it seen by the computer?? When I put a disk in, it either doesn't read it or takes a REALLY long time to.

There seems to be no error marks through my computer with the burner. Even under Device Manager, everything seems to be working fine. Windows seems to recognize the burner and claims there are no problems.

When I attempted to burn some recovery cds through the HP process, an Fdsoft problem occurred. I ran a search for Fdsoft and came across nothing that helped me on the Internet.
